Terms

Clear terms for using the website and arranging training.

The service is agreed personally after consultation; these terms explain the general framework.

About these terms

These terms cover use of the Nicholas’s English Toolbox website and the basis on which training information is presented. A specific training arrangement is confirmed separately after consultation.

Effective and last updated: 24 August 2026.

Website information

Course descriptions and prices are provided to help visitors assess the service. Every programme is tailored, so the consultation confirms level, goals, course focus, learner numbers, schedule, programme length and any separate costs before payment.

Website content may be updated when the service changes. A change does not alter an already agreed programme unless both parties agree or the law requires it.

Eligibility and group learning

The minimum starting level is lower-intermediate. A private team contains two to six learners from the same organisation and follows one shared programme. Learners should have similar starting levels and a shared objective, timetable and organisation coordinator. Nicholas may recommend or quote a different arrangement if the proposed team would not learn effectively together.

Published programme fees and included scope

For new arrangements from 24 August 2026, the published fee is USD 110 for each scheduled 60-minute live contact hour. The same rate applies to private one-to-one training or one private team of two to six from the same organisation. The 10-, 20- and 30-contact-hour programme totals are therefore USD 1,100, USD 2,200 and USD 3,300.

The contact-hour fee includes live Zoom delivery; preparation and adaptation of specialist materials for the agreed scope; standard scheduling and lesson management; self-checking consolidation practice; and members-area support for brief course-related questions, answered asynchronously during normal working hours. One-to-one training includes concise progress notes; a team programme includes attendance tracking and one end-of-programme group summary. Members-area support is not urgent or live on-demand support.

Separate cohorts, extra individual or sponsor reporting, individual make-up lessons, extensive document work and work outside the agreed shared programme are quoted separately.

Optional writing review

Each learner may submit one piece of up to 250 words after each completed block of three live contact hours: up to 3 pieces in a 10-hour programme, 6 in a 20-hour programme or 10 in a 30-hour programme. Each piece actually submitted is charged at USD 15.

The focused writing feedback consists of concise corrections and one priority comment in one feedback pass. The return date is confirmed when the work is accepted. Extensive rewriting and urgent document work are outside this service and are quoted separately.

Booking and payment

No payment is taken on this website. After consultation, Nicholas sends an invoice or payment instructions directly by email for the agreed programme. Any applicable taxes, transfer charges or non-refundable processing fees must be disclosed before payment.

Rescheduling, late cancellation and refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Materials and intellectual property

Teaching materials are for the enrolled learner or group’s own learning use unless a different licence is agreed. They may not be republished, sold or distributed publicly without permission.

Learners and companies must be authorised to share any workplace material they bring to lessons and should remove confidential or personal information where it is not needed.

Textbooks and third-party services

A suitable external textbook may be recommended. Any separate purchase cost is disclosed in advance. Zoom can be used in a supported desktop browser; on a mobile device, the Zoom app is normally required. Zoom and other third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy notices.

Outcomes and certificates

Training supports practical professional communication, but no particular fluency, accent, examination, employment or commercial outcome is guaranteed. A participation certificate is provided after programme completion.

Responsibility and applicable law

Nothing in these terms should remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If a concern arises, please contact Nicholas first so that a practical resolution can be discussed. Any mandatory law that applies to the agreed training remains unaffected.
