Privacy Notice

How personal information is handled.

A plain-language account of what this website collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible for your information

Nicholas’s English Toolbox is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Privacy enquiries may be sent to contact@englishtoolbox.org.

Information this website may collect

  • Consultation details: name, email, usual telephone number (country code and number), country, enquiry type, course interest and acknowledgement of this Privacy Notice.
  • Optional consultation details: work situations, approximate English level, availability, company or organisation and approximate learner count.
  • Resource requests: first name, email, requested resource and an optional marketing choice.
  • Training records: course-space messages, writing submissions, feedback, attendance and progress information created while delivering an agreed programme.
  • Limited technical information needed to protect forms, diagnose failures and keep the website secure.

The website does not collect or store card or banking details. Payment is arranged directly with Nicholas after consultation.

How the information is used

  • To answer enquiries and arrange the free consultation by email or telephone.
  • To understand the requested professional English training.
  • To deliver a requested CV or price sheet.
  • To administer and deliver agreed training, respond to course-related questions, provide feedback, record attendance and report progress as agreed.
  • To prevent spam, protect the website and investigate delivery failures.
  • To send optional marketing only when separate consent has been given.

Requesting a consultation or resource does not create a marketing subscription. Marketing consent is separate, optional and off by default, and may be withdrawn at any time.

Service providers and authorised reporting

Information may be processed by providers that support website and private-course-space hosting, file storage, authenticated email, spam protection and Zoom meetings. They receive only what is needed to provide the relevant service. Access to training records is limited to Nicholas, the learner and other authorised participants or contacts where the programme requires it.

For an organisation-sponsored programme, attendance or progress information is shared with an authorised employer or sponsor only with the learner’s permission. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.

The language selector does not contact a translation provider until you choose a language and select “View”. At that point, the current page is opened through Google Translate and Google’s own privacy terms apply.

Retention

Personal information, including course messages, submissions, feedback and progress records, is kept only as long as needed for the stated purpose, agreed training, legal or accounting obligations, dispute handling and security. It is then deleted or anonymised safely. Marketing details are removed when consent is withdrawn.

Your choices and rights

You may contact Nicholas’s English Toolbox to ask what personal information is held about you, request correction or deletion, or withdraw consent. Some information may need to be retained where a legal obligation applies.

Send a request to contact@englishtoolbox.org. Identity may need to be checked before disclosing or changing personal information.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses only technology needed for security and essential operation. It does not currently set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies.

To prevent unnecessary re-entry after a server error, the current browser tab may temporarily keep the values entered in a submitted form. This session copy is removed after a completed request and normally ends when the tab is closed; it is not used for marketing or analytics.

Changes to this notice
