Our target

Nicholas’s English Toolbox aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Measures built into the website

• Semantic headings, page regions and descriptive link text.
• Keyboard operation and visible focus indicators.
• Form labels, instructions, validation and confirmation messages.
• Colour contrast and text alternatives for meaningful images.
• User-controlled motion and support for reduced-motion preferences.
• Responsive layouts and usable controls from 320 pixels upwards.

Testing

The site is reviewed with automated accessibility checks, keyboard-only navigation and responsive browser testing at representative desktop and mobile sizes. Forms and the main visitor journeys are included in that review.

Known limitations

Automatic translations are provided by Google Translate after a visitor actively selects a language. Their accuracy and accessibility are controlled by that third-party service; the original English version remains available at all times.
