Regular lesson time

A regular weekly time is preferred because consistency supports progress. If a lesson needs to move, the replacement may use another mutually available time or extend the course schedule.

At least 24 hours’ notice

If you give at least 24 hours’ notice, the lesson may be rescheduled without being counted as used.

Less than 24 hours’ notice

If you give less than 24 hours’ notice, the lesson counts as used. Nicholas may accept an emergency exception at his discretion.

Refunding unused hours

Eligible unused live contact hours are refunded at the hourly rate paid for those hours. Hours already delivered and lessons counted as used after late cancellation are excluded.

Writing feedback is charged only for pieces actually submitted, so there is no unused writing charge to refund. Any separately quoted extra follows the cancellation or refund terms agreed for that extra.

Taxes and payment charges

Any taxes, transfer charges or non-refundable processing fees are disclosed before payment. A refund may exclude a charge only where this was disclosed in advance and exclusion is permitted by applicable law.

How to request a change or refund

Email contact@englishtoolbox.org as soon as possible. Include the learner’s name and the lesson or programme concerned, but do not send banking credentials through the website form.

This policy does not remove any cancellation or refund right that applies by law.
